Troop 10 enjoys participating in all kinds of activities, whether they are council, district or troop related. We plan a camping outing each month from September to May. We usually set up our schedule in July at a Patrol Leader's conference (PLC) and it is presented to the parent committee in August for approval.
When you see the calendar (calendar page), please note that dates and/or locations may change, and we may add opportunities for the scouts if something interesting comes along.
For all events, Troop 10 travels in Class A uniform. Scouts may change into their Class B uniform (scout shorts/pants, boots and either a Troop 10 or blank t-shirt) when appropriate.
Proper equipment and clothing are essential for safe and enjoyable outdoor activities. Some equipment is owned and maintained by the troop. This usually includes equipment that must be shared such as cooking equipment, tents, lantern, water jugs. Each patrol is assigned their own equipment and are responsible for the care of the equipment and bringing the appropriate equipment for each outing. The patrols work with the troop quartermaster when troop equipment needs servicing or replacing.
Each individual Scout is expected to provide his own personal equipment and clothing (ten essentials).
